Holidays provide a unique opportunity for online retailers. While their warehouse are closed, Costco.com can capitalize on the ability to provide all day promotions for members. I animated special artwork for this year’s holiday closures, each piece themed around the spirit of the day.

Order in time for Christmas
Prior to the holiday, a large initiative was promoting deliveries by Christmas. Across the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I created artwork to remind members when to buy their gifts online.
The ticking clock was a refreshed look of an earlier concept. A clock resting in the snow has one spinning minute hand, urging members to order. This email hero would link out to all the items eligible for delivery by Christmas.
Keeping a consistent look and feel as the clock, the “running Santa” was also a classic Costco.com concept refreshed for FY19. Santa is holding a gift that gently wiggles, alluding to the present inside.
